When in Rome do as Romans Do

Ahhh, our second trip to the farm in Rome NY.  This trip was titled "Hot Mess Deus".  On this trip we only stayed for 4 days and brought James's friend Alec.  It was a short trip because I came up just to go to Brittany's cousins wedding. I was even more excited because not only were Brittany and kids there....but also Craig AND Tim (my brother in law and brother).  The weather didn't cooperate on the days around the wedding so it wasn't the summer wonderland we visited the month before.  Close your eyes and imagine 6 adults and 6 children cramped into a tiny farm house (you can almost smell it can't cha?)

Olivia's love of all the farm animals is second only to Zoe's.....which is hands down, bordering on obsession.

The greatest thing about the farm is seeing 5 kids watch zero TV for 4 days.  It's not like there is a carnival going on there...or anything specific to do.  It's just that they are allowed to run around outside and are not confined to a tiny backyard.  It's how I grew up, but on Long Island kids just don't do that.  I believe they should and recommend you read  http://freerangekids.wordpress.com/ .

Ok, maybe it wasn't just free reign of the farm that had them outside.  The golf cart was pretty much the main attraction.  Even at 10mph they found ways to reek havoc all over the farm with this vehicle.  They were spoken to, yelled at, threatened, banned for stretches, but finally learned how to control themselves on it (at least while we were looking).

Alec was the main driver and at any time the car would have 2-5 kids on it.  When I saw Reilly in the cart.....I was like "licence and registration please"

Ahhhh.....Nothing like an upstate wedding!! It was really one of the best weddings I've ever been to.  Why?  Cause we were loaded and dancing all night!!  What started us off was the 2hr party bus ride to the backwoods of Utica.  The beverages were flowing and the pee breaks were few.

Teffany looked great.  The wedding was overlooking a lake...I mean...it was just gorgeous.

That's my favourite pic of Jude....she's like "what, where, who??" hahaha.  This a shot of right behind the wedding gazebo. (sweet)

Bobby's cuttin a rug and I'm just beginning to get sweaty on the dance floor with Christine.

Now I know where I get my sweat glands from.  Honestly, this is a great picture of my Dad and Judy. (everybody give a collective awwwwwwww)

Aunt Kathy, Brit and Mellisa are gettin jiggy wit it.....

Teffany and Bobby are gettin jiggy wit it.......

Dean and Britt are getting jiggy wit it......ok let's face it.....we were all gettin jiggy wit it!!  We won't mention how I passed out on the party bus and how I woke up with mascara all over my face....let's just say..... I'm assuming I had a good time

James wearing an armchair cover on his head and Luke chillin in the upstairs hot box.

The kids loved the miniature horses and did a good job taking care of them.

James decided to challenge Wilbur to a duel.  They both have thick skulls, but Wilbur ended up winning.

The last day was actually the most time the boys hung out in the barn.  They were too busy exploring and tearing up the lawn with the golf cart.

This is just James being James......enough said!!
