Matilda, you really did bring a ton of love into this house, talk about personality...you had tons. You came into our life meowing and left the same way. We're all going to miss you. Like James said "head toward the light Tilda"

Transforming my basement from a foul, filthy, stink hole apartment into a "sexy ass" finished downstairs wasn't easy...nor cheap. It couldn't have happened without good old uncle Frank and I am now sold on the fact that he "knows some stuff about things".
So where do I begin? Well, for now, I'll just start with some before and after photos......

This picture is a good opening for October. This month was dominated by Halloween (of course) and to celebrate it, we took a trip to 6 Flags "Fright Fest" (finally!!). We had the excitement of getting costumes, Halloween Parades, Halloween party, trick or treating and the customary rifling through my kids candy for the treats that I like. I also took a trip to PA which is in another blog titled "Children of the Corn".

Kris and I decided to take a trip to PA to see some friends and get lost in a giant field of corn. This corn maze is right in the middle of meat and potato lovin' Pennsylvania Dutch country and is called "The Cherry Crest Adventure Farm".

How many years did I have to wait to get the guitar of my dreams??? ... 24 years!!! Are you kidding me?? Let me tell ya, I moaned and groaned, hemmed and hawed, paced back and fourth and agonized over this purchase before I bit the bullet. Once I heard her sweet siren song, I was smitten.

Finally!!! That was one looooonnnnnnggggg summer. I was quivering with excitement because I needed to restore some balance and routine back to this household. Working from home with the kids here all day was not a good plan (It's a struggle without the interruptions) So when i saw that bus amble down the street, it might as well been a truck load full of cheesecake, cause I was grinning from ear to ear.

Yes, I was bitten by the running bug. I think it really kicked in when I was watching the fatties on "The Biggest Loser" not only run a half marathon, but a full marathon no more than a month later.
